Bio

Born and raised in Sonoma, my filmmaking path started in 1999 when I merged my computer nerd skills with a Sony Digital8 camera and Final Cut Pro.

Moving to San Francisco in 2003 to pursue film, I caught the tail end of an era where editing tools still included split reels, razor blades, and splicing tape.

Shooting on celluloid film demanded intention behind every detail of every shot, helping build discipline in the fundamentals that remain relevant today.

Film school was followed by three years at a custom crush winery, where I combined my visual storytelling craft with winemaking and viticulture.

Hundreds of videos later, I had an informal education in winemaking and an inside perspective on the industry that helped shape my hometown.

A creative nomad stage followed, shooting and editing for a TV show, then expanding into a whirlwind of new subjects, creative roles, and industries.

In 2014, a Napa-to-San Francisco filmmaking pipeline took shape, shifting my creative focus back to the wine world and becoming central to my work.

After two decades of creative adventures in the city, things have come full circle, back to my wine country roots and closer to the stories that inspire me most.
